Laser Sintering (LS)
Today, Laser Sintering (LS) is the one of most viable process for turning CAD files into real production parts. Compared to other RP processes like SLA, the material is very stable over time, meaning it won't change dimensions or lose mechanical properties in a way that will be detrimental to part performance.
With manufacturing using LS, we are able to hold print tolerances, ship with COC's and material certs if required. We can also supply ISO 10993-1 biocompatible LS nylon upon request. Multiple threaded fastener options are available, including tapped threads, Helicoils, and self-threading inserts.
Examples of direct manufactured nylon include metal to plastic conversions, internal electronics chassis, buttons, and cam lifters. Speak to your Sales Representative or Estimator to find out more about Additive Manufacturing, and if LS Nylon is the right process for you.
